While attending social events with other Pinstripers, I’ve heard introductions being made and stories being swapped.  Pinstripe employees are friendly people, and we generally will talk it up with just about anyone.  But when you overhear a member of the conversation state, “Oh, I’m a Financial Advisor with XYZ Corp,” and then you hear the Pinstriper say, “Oh, that’s great! I know of a great company who is looking for advisors. Let’s set up some time later this week to talk!”  That’s when you know that the recruiter has become……wait for it….not just another recruiter.

There are skeptics among us who might say that the example above was a bit out there, and there is no place in the social realm for “talking shop” so to speak.  But as many others are well aware, a great deal of the best relationships have been created over a bit of small talk in various social environments.  People are everywhere, and they are looking for new positions all over the place; even those who don’t know they are looking until the enterprising Pinstriper makes them aware of a new opportunity.  Great partnerships have been formed because of a little conversation, and it becomes someone’s new career.

What has Pinstripe done to create this team of “Recruitalicious” individuals?  Looking at the Pinstripe staff, you see individuals of diverse backgrounds – those who have worked exclusively in HR, and those who came from other disciplines – health care, financial services, teaching and sales – to name a few- that have grown to  become the industry experts in their chosen recruiting fields.  But the thing that makes a Pinstripe recruiter unique is that genuine love for communication; in the office, with clients, on the phone or even at the local pub down the street.  Caring about people enough to talk the talk – that is what makes a recruiter….not just another recruiter.
