Recruitalicious

As summer has finally arrived in Wisconsin, I thought this would be quite fitting. Summer is a time to relax and remember the simpler days. Who doesn’t fondly remember those endless days of summer break? School was out and all you had to worry about was making sure your bike was ready for you to ride. In this day and age, we are all so busy it actually takes effort to relax!

I recently stumbled upon a short video that might help bring you back to those days of sun, sprinklers and adventures. Not only is this video applicable to our personal lives, but to the recruiting profession overall!

As the economy continues to take its toll and we all most likely have personal things we are dealing with, we are also recruiters. Needless to say, recruiting is a really tough industry! Hard positions to fill, crazy hours, fervent candidates, a large number of hires needed, the never ending need to be creative – all can put you on the fast track to burnout. I know I’ll take any suggestions to help with personal sanity any day! Loving oxymorons as I do (clearly confused, minor crisis, definite maybe, etc.), remembering these 8 rules can help take your life back a notch or two, but push you further at the same time.

“Stop following the rules”, “turn up the volume” and “start scaring yourself”… You might be surprised at what you find!
